Pedestrian killed in collision with motorcycle in Wilmot Township

Police are continuing to investigate after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a motorcycle in Wilmot Township.

Emergency services responded to the area of Wilmot Centre Road near Bleams Road on Saturday afternoon after receiving reports of the collision.

The pedestrian, a 66-year-old man from Wilmot, was transported to an out-of-region hospital and later pronounced dead.

A 34-year-old man who was driving the motorcycle did not sustain any physical injuries.

Wilmot Centre Road was closed between Bleams Road and Highway 7/8 for several hours for the investigation but has since reopened.

The investigation continues and anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to come forward.
