Prime Minister celebrates K-W Oktoberfest in Breslau

The prime minister stopped in Waterloo Region on Friday to raise a stein.

Mark Carney visited the Schwaben Club in Breslau for K-W Oktoberfest.

He took part in the festhall’s annual keg tapping celebration and was welcomed by festival organizers and local dignitaries, including Woolwich Mayor Sandy Shantz.

Carney’s itinerary for the day said, “The Prime Minister will participate in Oktoberfest.”

He’s then headed to Brampton Friday evening for a Diwali celebration.

K-W Oktoberfest events wrap up Oct. 18.
