Suspicious death in North Dumfries now a homicide investigation

Waterloo Regional Police (WRPS) are now treating the suspicious death of a Cambridge woman as a homicide.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 12, the body of 36-year-old Elizabeth Spurgeon was found in the West River and Brant-Waterloo roads area of North Dumfries Township.

No further information has been released by police; however, they continue to appeal to the public for information.

Specifically, investigators want to know about the victim’s whereabouts in the days leading up to the morning of Sept. 12.
