OPP searching for wanted man known to frequent New Hamburg area

Provincial police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after breaching parole while serving time for drug and weapons-related offences.

According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), 51-year-old Jeffrey Caldwell is known to frequent the New Hamburg area, as well as Ottawa and Hamilton.

The police Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad is requesting public assistance, describing the wanted man as about 6’0″, 235 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo of a Celtic-style sun on his upper-left arm.

Caldwell is serving a roughly two-year sentence for possession of various substances for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a restricted weapon, obstructing a peace officer and more.
