Warm weather and sunshine in the forecast for back to school in Waterloo Region

Just one week until the students of Waterloo Region head back to school, and the weather is looking summer-like for the first day.

Wednesday and Thursday continue to be chilly and wet, with highs of 20 C and scattered showers in the forecast according to 570’s Weather Specialist Allister Aalders.

As we head into the weekend, the temperatures begin to warm up.

“We will see our temperatures climbing to the mid, possibly high-twenties to welcome September,” said Aalders.

“For the first day of school next Wednesday, looks like temperatures will be in the mid-twenties and the day looking fair weather-wise.”
