Region of Waterloo looking for public opinion to build plan for Stage 2 ION

The Region of Waterloo is looking for your opinions on Stage 2 of the ION as they formulate their potential plans to build light-rail tracks through Cambridge.
Community engagement begins on Thursday, Aug. 14 at Pinebush Station from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The region has laid out five potential options for train and bus routes through Cambridge, ranging from a full train route connecting Fairway Station in Kitchener to Cambridge’s downtown core to no trains at all.
The Initial Business Case for Stage 2 of the ION is set to be shared in November, and will include details like how much the project is going to cost, what it will take to build the project, and the impact it could have on the Cambridge economy as a whole.
In September, the region will weigh its options when it comes to the cost and benefit of building light-rail transit through Cambridge.
