Police investigate fake bomb threat in Kitchener

A government building in downtown Kitchener was the site of a bomb threat call.

Waterloo regional police said officers came out around noon yesterday to the unidentified building at Frederick and Duke Streets.

That’s where the Ontario courthouse is.

Police said they did a full search of the building and found no devices and nothing suspicious.

The bomb threat was deemed as a fake, and police say there was never a threat to the public.

Police would like to hear from anyone who knows anything about who made that call.

They can reach out to police by calling 519-570-9777, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by clicking here.
