Toronto man charged with sexual assault of woman walking dog in Guelph

A Toronto man has been charged with sexual assault following an incident involving a woman walking her dog in Guelph.

It happened on April 9 when Guelph Police say a woman in her 20s was walking her dog in a west-end park. Police say she was approached by an older man who started speaking to her. The man was unknown to the victim and allegedly began touching her inappropriately.

Last week, police say the victim received a text form the same man after he was able to find her phone number online.

On June 26, police contacted the 60-year-old Toronto man by phone. He agreed to turn himself in and is scheduled to appear in court August 8.
