MADD Waterloo Region hosting victim memorial service

Members of the community are invited to come together in Kitchener on Saturday morning to remember those who have been the victim of drunk driving tragedies.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Waterloo Region will be hosting a victim memorial service at Rockway Gardens starting at 11 a.m.

The group says the service is meant to be a time of reflection, community and remembrance.

“We will share stories, hear from local representatives, and support one another as we honour those taken too soon by the preventable decision to drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” said the group in a press release.

The service will hear from several speakers, including family members who have lost loved ones, first responders and local representatives.

it will be held from 11-11:30am at the MADD Dedicated Gazebo at 7 Floral Crescent.
