Wanted Kitchener woman arrested after multiple incidents

Waterloo Regional Police seized over $12,000 worth of drugs during the arrest of a wanted Kitchener woman.

On Friday afternoon around 1:20 p.m., members of the Direct Action Response Team (DART) were in Victoria Park on a routine bike patrol when they identified and arrested a 40-year-old Kitchener woman wanted on a number of charges from two separate incidents in that city.

Those charges include assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and forcible confinement from an incident on March 20. Police also say the same suspect fled from police in a stolen vehicle on April 30th. Charges in that incident include:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking;
  • Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent;
  • Flight from Peace Officer;
  • Operation of a Conveyance While Prohibited;
  • Dangerous Operation;
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000; and
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

Upon the arrest, police say they conducted a “search incident to arrest” and seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and prescription drugs with a street value of $12,300.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and now faces four counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule 1 Substance and one count of Possession of Break In Instruments.
