WRPS search for robbery suspects after online marketplace meet-up

It’s a horror story for anyone looking to sell something online. Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is investigating a robbery in Cambridge that occurred during an in-person meet-up for an online marketplace sale.

Officers said it happened over three months ago, on Feb. 12, in the area of Hollywood Court and Birmingham Drive.

The online seller was reportedly meeting with a potential buyer in the area, who brought another person along with them.

Officers say that once the group met, a scuffle broke out, with the two suspects leaving with the goods.

The victim was left with minor physical injuries, with WRPS now looking for public help in identifying the suspects involved.
