Kitchener woman hurt in motorcycle crash where bike bursts into flame

Charges are expected after a Kitchener woman was hurt in a collision involving a motorcycle in Waterloo, where the bike burst into flames.

Waterloo regional police say it happened at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, at Erb Street East and Ellis Crescent North, just east of Weber Street.

Police say a car and a motorcycle collided, and the bike became engulfed by fire.

They said the 34-year-old woman driving the motorcycle was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car was checked out at a local hospital, only as a precaution.

Police tell 570 NewsRadio charges are anticipated, but for now, the investigation continues.
