Film crews to take over Galt this long weekend

Lights, camera, action!
Cranes, drones, and cameras will be taking over the Galt area of Cambridge starting this long weekend.
Crews are filming an unnamed TV series and are setting up shop in the Main Street and Water Street area starting Sunday, May 18 through to Thursday, May 22.
The City of Cambridge has put out a special advisory for the busy week ahead, noting the filming will include “pyrotechnics, electronic gunfire, large crowd scenes, and explosions.”
Some shots outside will also feature “graphic content.”
The main areas impacted include:
- Main Street between Water Street and Ainslie Street
- Intersection of Water Street and Main Street
- Water Street North Parking Lot
- Wellington South Parking Lot
- Churchill Park Pavilion lot
Starting Sunday, traffic controls will be in place along Main and Water Streets.
The following road closures will be in place:
- Main Street between Water Street and Ainslie Street: Monday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m. to Thursday, May 22 at 12:00 a.m.
- Intersection of Water Street and Main Street: Monday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m. to Wednesday, May 21 at 11:59 p.m.
There will also be intermittent impacts at the intersections of Ainslie Street and Main Street as well as Main Street and Wellington Street.
