$800,000 worth of items stolen from Cambridge business

Waterloo regional police are investigating a weekend break-and-enter at a commercial business in Cambridge.

Police say unknown suspects entered the business in the Sheldon Drive area, Saturday, May 10 and made off with over $800,000 worth of property.

A request has been sent to other businesses located between Sheldon and Conestoga Boulevard, asking for owners to check security or surveillance footage for any suspicious people, vehicles or activity. They are asked to check specifically between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on May 10.

  • Ensure valuables and cash are removed from the business prior to closing.
  • Consider installing a surveillance/security system, which can remotely monitor the front, rear, and inside the business.
  • Installation of audible noise alarm systems.
  • Report any suspicious activity or individuals to police immediately.
  • The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team.
