The measles case count remains unchanged in the area, but Waterloo Region Public Health (RWPH) is advising of another potential exposure site.
RWPH is warning anyone who attended the Bachman-Turner Overdrive concert at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on Thursday, April 24, may have been exposed to the measles virus.
They are urged to check their vaccination records and then monitor for symptoms until May 16.
Symptoms can appear up to 21 days after exposure and can include fever, cough, runny nose, white spots in the mouth and red watery eyes. Those symptoms are typically followed by a red blotchy rash.
The Region of Waterloo has created a Measles Self Assessment Tool.
If you think you may have been exposed and are planning to visit a health care provider, you are encouraged to contact them ahead of time and let them know.
The majority of infections across Ontario are being seen in infants, children and teens. Particularly among those who are not vaccinated.
