Smash-and-grab jewellery store robbery in Guelph under investigation

Police are investigating a smash-and-grab style robbery at a jewellery store in Guelph.

Officers responded to the targeted store in the Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North area on Tuesday, around 1:45 p.m.

According to Guelph police, four suspects used hammers to break the store’s glass front door. Once inside, they smashed display cases and stole merchandise.

There were no reported injuries resulting from the robbery.

The suspects fled the scene in a black Acura sedan. They were dressed in dark clothing, including hoodies and masks.

Guelph police continue to investigate and want to hear from any witnesses, including those with video footage.
