Extreme Weather Centre: Sunday Cancellations

The 570 NewsRadio Extreme Weather Centre is open for Sunday, Feb. 16.

Environment Canada is calling for 10-20cm of snow to fall across the region today as well as freezing drizzle. Reduced visibility and blowing snow is expected for drivers.

The Region of Waterloo, as well as the cities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, Wilmot Township and Woolwich Township have declared significant snow events and on street parking bans.

CHURCHES:

• Service at St. Stephen Lutheran Church 248 Highland Road, Kitchener has been cancelled
• Service at St James-Rosemount United Church at 171 Sherwood Ave, Kitchener has been cancelled
• Service at Pathway Community Church at 725 Erinbrook Dr., Kitchener, has been cancelled
• Service at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hamburg is cancelled
• Service at Community Christian Reformed Church in Kitchener is cancelled
• In person service at Your Community Church, 60 Arthur St S, Elmira is cancelled. Moved online.

POST-SECONDARY SCHOOLS:

• All Conestoga College campuses are closed on Sunday for the weather

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS/EVENTS/PROGRAMS:

• TheMuseum is open
• Waterloo Public Square Ice Rink is closed
• All City of Waterloo-operated recreation and leisure programs (including all registered and drop-in programs) are cancelled
