Rangers look to ‘squish the fish’ in first meeting of the season
Game night for your Kitchener Rangers with the Brampton Steelheads in town.
It’s the first time these two teams have met this season. They split their season series last year.
The East Avenue Blue are riding a six-game win streak while Brampton has a mini two-game streak going of their own.

However, over the last ten games, Brampton has just three wins while Kitchener has gone 8-2.
This recent hot streak has kept Kitchener well in the hunt for the top spot in the OHL’s Western Conference.
Kitchener sits third with 59 points. The Windsor Spitfires and London Knights are right above them, tied with 61 points. Windsor has the edge in the standing but London has two games in hand.
A major component of Kitchener’s success this season has been lights-out goaltending from Jackson Parsons.

The over-ager is coming off his fourth OHL Goalie of the Week award, sporting a sparkling 2.03 GAA and a dynamite 23-6-1-0 record.
Tonight marks the return of Rangers fan favourite Carson Rehkopf who was traded to Brampton in the offseason. He was an offensive powerhouse for the Rangers and continues to light the lamp with Brampton putting up 21 goals and 27 assists, good for 48 points this season.
Mike Farwell and Paul Fixter will have the call on 570 NewsRadio.
Game time is 7:00 pm. Coverage kicks off at 6:30 with the pregame show.
