Pedestrian sent to hospital after evening collision in Kitchener

An investigation is underway through Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) following a serious collision involving a pedestrian in Kitchener.

Emergency services were called on Dec. 29 at approximately 7:30 p.m. to the area of Frederick and Bruce Streets following reports of a collision.

They arrived on scene to find that a 58-year-old Kitchener woman had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection. The woman was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the incident is still ongoing with WRPS, with no details given as to any injuries or charges for the driver involved.

Police are now asking that anyone with information who may have witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, to get in touch.
