Charity hockey game raising funds to keep youth off the street
A hockey game in Kitchener on Dec. 22 is trying to help local youth experiencing homelessness by raising funds.
The Kitchener Ranger’s Junior Triple A team is taking on Regional Police’s Blue Crew for the charity game. They will play at the Activa Patrick J. Doherty Arena on Lennox Lewis Way.
Tickets for the game are only two-dollars and all the proceeds are going to OneRoof Youth Services on Sheldon Ave. in Kitchener.
There will be a Timbit game, a silent auction and Chuck a Puck as part of the event.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with puck drop an hour later.
