Police investigating string of break-and-enters targeting local businesses

According to police between Dec 16. and Dec 17. officers have responded to several break-and-enters across the region.

In many cases, the suspects forced their way into the businesses by breaking windows or doors in the early morning hours.

Police are trying to determine if the incidents are connected and are reminding business owners of the following:

• Make sure all security devices are in working order
• Report any suspicious activity that may be observed during and after business hours
• Contact 911 immediately if you find your business broken into, and do not enter before police arrive
