Mistletoe Trail returns for the holidays and offers a festive trip around the region
It’s a great opportunity to explore Waterloo Region and enjoy the festive spirit.
The Mistletoe Trail is coming back for another year, with seven locations featuring installations created by local artists. The pieces were provided through a partnership between Explore Waterloo Region and Button Factory Arts Centre.
“Each Mistletoe is very unique and different than the next, which makes it a really fun adventure to not just go visit one but try and go see them all,” Ashley Lansink, director of marketing for Explore Waterloo Region, said.

An interactive map is available on the Explore Waterloo Region website, showcasing 45 different businesses in the region that are offering something fun to do while people travel through the Mistletoe Trail.
“So, that could be a mistletoe-themed cocktail or mistletoe-themed gift set. It’s just a really great way to connect the entire region throughout the trail,” Lansink said.
All seven of the mistletoe installations are outdoors, with plans to keep them up through the holidays – until the start of 2025.
“We thought this would be a fun way to give something fun to do in Waterloo Region throughout the holidays,” Lansink said.
