Youth charged in Kitchener homicide, second suspect at large

A Toronto youth is now facing charges of first degree murder in connection with a homicide in Kitchener.

It was in late January around 9 a.m. when Waterloo Regional Police responded to reports of gunshots in the Gray Street area, near Ottawa Street North and Lackner Boulevard.

Officers arrived on scene to find a 28-year-old man dead outside of a nearby home.

Two suspects were determined to have been involved in the shooting; a 17-year-old male from Toronto is now in police custody, arrested on Tuesday, while the second suspect is still at large.

Waterloo Regional Police have released an image of that remaining suspect, as they seek assistance from the public in identifying them.
