UW recovers Instagram account after social media page hacked
No damage was done.
The University of Waterloo (UW) says a hacker who got into the institution’s Instagram account made no changes and took no action.
On Nov. 7, UW posted on X that its Instagram account had been hacked and asked users not to interact with the university on that social media platform.

The university posting Tuesday that it has recovered the Instagram account successfully.
