Kitchener man arrested, drugs and stolen property seized by regional police

A Kitchener man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested on Wednesday after being found in possession of drugs and stolen property.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, officers were patrolling the area of Hanson Avenue and Homer Watson Boulevard around 10 p.m. on Wednesday when they spotted the man.

After investigating, they learned that the man was wanted on outstanding warrants, and they found suspected pregabalin, clonazepam, hydromorphone, methamphetamine and fentanyl. He also had a stolen bicycle, which was seized by police.

The 34-year-old Kitchener man was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, breach of probation, and possession of stolen property.

He was held for a bail hearing.
