Female victim sent to hospital, man charged after stabbing in Kitchener

A female victim was sent to hospital and a Kitchener man is facing several charges in connection with a stabbing investigation.
The stabbing was reported early Thursday morning around 3:30 a.m. in the Victoria Street South and Joseph Street area.
Police were called about a man inside a home who was allegedly wielding a knife. When officers arrived to the scene, they located a man with a knife outside. He was arrested.
A female victim was sent to a local hospital and her injuries are described as being non-life-threatening.
A 20-year-old Kitchener man was charged with several offences including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm – strangulation, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police say both parties know each other.
