Police seize loaded firearm, drugs during Waterloo traffic stop

Waterloo Regional Police have seized a loaded gun, drugs and documents during a traffic stop in Waterloo.

It happened Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Fischer-Hallman Road and University Avenue West.

According to police, during the traffic stop officers determined the driver of a vehicle was driving under suspension and arrested him.

During the search of the vehicle police found a loaded handgun, identity documents, brass knuckles, a conducted energy weapon and methamphetamine.

As a result, a 45-year-old man from Cambridge was arrested and charged with various offences including:
