Guelph’s Tavius Robinson earns rave review entering second NFL season
Seeing Canadian-born athletes gain notoriety in the NFL is becoming more common and Guelph’s Tavius Robinson continues to make an impact, entering his second campaign with the Baltimore Ravens.
Robinson was drafted by the Ravens in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft with the 124th overall selection.
“I think his best football is on the come,” Eric DeCosta, Ravens General Manager. said when asked about Robinson on Friday, at a press conference. “He’s going to be one of these guys, that probably a year or two from now, we’re going to say was one of our better fourth round picks,”

Prior to being drafted in 2023, Robinson attended Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute for high school and played university-level football with the Guelph Gryphons before taking his talents south of the border, suiting up for Ole Miss Rebels at the University of Mississippi.
In 2023, the 6’6” edge rusher recorded 26 total tackles with 13 solo tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack in 17 regular season games with Baltimore as a rookie.
During Robinson’s rookie campaign, Baltimore solidified themselves as a Super Bowl contender by finishing with a 13-4 record.
The Ravens 2023 season ended when they were defeated by the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game by a score of 17-10.
Now, Robinson and the Ravens will kick off the new NFL season on Thursday night football in a rematch with the Chiefs in Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium.
