Police search for man who reached into female’s car while exposing himself

Police in Guelph need to find a man they say reached through the window of a female victim’s car while exposing himself to her.

They say it happened Saturday evening, between 6:00 and 6:30, around Baker Street and Chapel Lane in downtown Guelph. Police said the victim, who works downtown, got into her car and rolled down her window.

A man she had seen on the sidewalk walked up to her car, and she noticed he was allegedly exposing himself to her, he reached in through the open window.

Police said the female got the window up in time and the man did not touch her.

He walked away, and police say she then spotted a black hatchback speeding away from her parking lot. Police stress that car was not necessarily driven by the suspect.

They say the suspect is described as being white, in his late twenties, with a slim build, medium height, and black curly hair. He was wearing blue basketball shorts, a blue t-shirt, and a blue baseball cap at the time.

Witnesses are asked to call Guelph Police and speak with Constable Sam Johnston at 519-824-1212, ext. 7214, or email him at sjohnston@guelphpolice.ca.
