Motorcyclist avoids police by driving on sidewalk in downtown Kitchener

Police are searching for a motorcyclist, who reportedly tried to avoid police by driving on a sidewalk and crosswalk in downtown Kitchener.

Officers tried to pull over the driver after they ran a few red lights along Queen Street South and King Street East on Saturday morning around 9 a.m.

The driver drove away, reportedly racing along a sidewalk and crosswalk.

Police stopped their chase for public safety.

The motorcycle in question is believed to be a Honda CBR500R with green rims.

The driver is described as a man between 20 to 35 years old, who was wearing a black soccer jersey and a white helmet. He also has a tattoo with red ink on his left forearm.
