Guelph teen arrested after shooting fireworks at others and injuring them
A gathering in Guelph one month ago turned into an altercation, and a teen was arrested after shooting fireworks at others.
According to Guelph Police, the incident happened on July 15 in the area of Northview Park. A motorist in the Victoria Road area flagged down officers who told them that his friend had been injured.
Through investigation, police found that two groups of youths were at a gathering near the park when a fight broke out.

A 16-year-old girl was struck in the neck by a firework, causing injuries. A firework also hit an 18-year-old man, he was also injured.
On Tuesday, a 17-year-old, accompanied by his father, turned himself in and was arrested for assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a sentence order.
The youth will appear in court next month.
A similar incident took place in Kitchener on Canada Day when Waterloo Regional Police shut down Victoria Park due to reports of fireworks shot at crowds of people, including officers and children.
