Regional police investigating hate-motivated assault at Waterloo business

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hate-motivated assault at a business in Waterloo.
Police say on Aug. 12 at approximately 2:15 p.m., two youths entered a business in the area of Erb Street West and Fischer Hallman Road. When a female employee asked them to leave, they allegedly uttered racial slurs and assaulted the employee.
No physical injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
