Cedar Creek, Trussler Road roundabout project enters stage two

Motorists heading through the intersection of Cedar Creek Road and Trussler Road will need to be aware of some new disruptions coming as a result of an ongoing reconstruction project.

The work began in early May, with the goal of installing a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Cedar Creek Road, Oxford Road 8 and Trussler Road. This latest stage of construction, beginning on Wednesday, is expected to last roughly five weeks.

As that second phase of work gets underway on Cedar Creek, only westbound lanes of traffic on the roadway will be able to move through the construction site.

Eastbound traffic on Cedar Creek is encouraged to detour using Blenheim Road to Drumbo Road to Trussler Road to Alps Road and Northumberland Street.

Detour route from via the Region of Waterloo.

The region has also indicated Trussler Road will be closed to through traffic south of Cedar Creek Road for this stage of construction.

Motorists are warned that there could be times where traffic will be travelling on a gravel surface. Crews will also be on hand to direct westbound traffic through the work zone when necessary.

Stage three of construction will bring a full weekend closure of the intersection for surface paving. Construction is expected to be completed in September 2024.
