Stratford Police release more details on quadruple shooting that left two dead, two in hospital
More details are emerging as Stratford Police continue to investigate a shooting that left two people dead and sent two more to hospital.
According to police, the incident took place around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday in the area of Bradshaw Drive and McCarthy Road West, a newer development area of the city.
Through investigation, police have learned that the shooter, 31-year-old Ricky Bilcke, and three others were involved in an “ongoing neighbour dispute” when he opened fire on his neighbours before taking his own life.

Using a high-powered rifle, Bilcke shot 36-year-old Jason Bennett from across the road, then armed himself with a shotgun and stepped onto the roadway.
Bilcke then shot 43-year-old David Tokley with the shotgun before turning his gun at Stephanie Irvine, who was exiting her residence, and firing on her.
Bilcke shot the gun several times at the victims before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life.
Bennett was transported to hospital before being pronounced deceased. Tokley and Irvine were also transported to hospital. Tokley’s injuries are described as life-threatening.
Stratford Police have closed down the area where the shooting took place.

The police service added that they have seen a number of videos of the incident pop up online. They’re asking that those videos be removed out of respect for the victims and their families.
