Late night motorcycle crash in Kitchener puts 18-year-old in hospital

An 18-year-old was sent to hospital after a motorcycle crash in Kitchener’s Chicopee neighbourhood.

Waterloo Regional Police were called to the scene on River Road East near Morgan Avenue, around 11:30, Wednesday night.

Police said a motorcycle driver lost control of his bike, hit a curb, then a pole and was thrown from the bike.

He was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The crash was serious enough for police to send up their drone to gather aerial photos as part of the evidence.

Police are still investigating and would like to hear from any witnesses.
