A Cambridge man is facing a long list of charges after fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle.

On Wednesday, just after 7 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police attempted to pull over a BMW they learned was stolen from outside the region in the area of Wilson Ave. and Wabanaki Dr.

First, the driver stopped for police, but then quickly pulled away and sped toward Hidden Valley Dr.

Later, police found the BMW parked on private property near a wooded area.

The Cambridge man was arrested on three outstanding warrants and charged with multiple driving-related and fraud-related offences.

He was held for a bail hearing, and police continued to investigate.
