Environment Canada ends special weather statement for strong winds
There was a brief warning about potential strong winds in Waterloo Region on Tuesday, but that’s no longer a concern.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the region and surrounding areas shortly after 12 p.m.
Wind gusts were expected to reach 70 to 85 km/h at times.
The weather alert was in effect for around an hour before it was abruptly pulled from Environment Canada’s website.
