Female victim assaulted by male youths, regional police say it was hate-motivated

One female victim, assaulted by three male youths in Kitchener, and police believe the attack was motivated by hate.

Waterloo Regional Police say it happened around 5:00, Tuesday afternoon, as the victim was leaving a store around Highland Road West and Westmount Road.

Police said the victim was assaulted, and the attackers made derogatory comments based on the victim’s identity.

The victim suffered minor physical injuries.

The only description of the suspects from police, for now, is that they are male, and between 16 and 17 years old.
