Waterloo woman arrested and charged after hate-motivated assault

A Waterloo woman has been charged following a hate-motivated assault on Friday morning.

Waterloo Regional Police responded to calls of an assault underway at about 12:30 a.m. at a licensed establishment in the King Street North and Bridgeport Road West area.

The 27-year-old woman was yelling racial slurs towards three other women, and then physically assaulted them.

Officers arrested the woman, determined the assault was hate-motivated, and charged her with three counts of assault.

The victims were not injured in the incident.
