Man, woman from Cambridge arrested and charged in connection to late-night stabbing

With help from the public, Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a man and woman from Cambridge in connection to a late-night stabbing on Saturday.

According to police, the stabbing took place at an establishment on Water St. North at about 2:15 a.m. on Apr. 13.

When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old Cambridge man suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was brought to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police received multiple calls from the public after pictures of the suspects were released, and they were able to locate the culprits at about 6:50 p.m. later that same day.

A 29-year-old Cambridge man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carry a concealed weapon. A 24-year-old Cambridge woman was charged with assault.
