Easter weekend events planned in Waterloo Region

Looking for something to do with the kids this Easter long weekend? There are several events planned across Waterloo Region to take part in the festivities.
The Easter Egg-spress will be steaming through the Waterloo Region on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. The nearly three-hour trip takes you on a ride through WCR park, where the kids will get out and hunt for eggs, then back on the train for a ride through Elmira and back.
In Cambridge, the downtown Easter Egg hunt will start on Saturday at 11 a.m. the hunt starts at Rookery Books on Main Street, where you will receive your egg map, detailing the more than 30 businesses participating in the event.

There will be an Easter brunch at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kitchener on Saturday starting at 11 a.m., with a buffet, live cooking stations, an appearance by the Easter bunny, and face-painting stations.
If you’re looking to hunt for eggs with the kids, St. Jacob’s Farmers Market is hosting their annual egg hunt on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. The kids will get a chance to fill their baskets in the farmyard and meet the big bunny himself.
There will also be a hunt for eggs and candy at the Uptown Waterloo Egg Hunt on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You’ll get the chance to explore local businesses, take a selfie with the uptown explorer, and get your hands on some candy with the tent set up at the Waterloo Public Square on King St.
