Region of Waterloo inviting public input on future of Doon Heritage Village

The Region of Waterloo is inviting you to have your say in the future of the region’s past.

The Doon Heritage Village is undergoing renovations and upgrades after closing its doors in 2023. They’re hoping to reopen the historical site with new stories from underrepresented people in the community by giving the public an opportunity to share what they want to see and hear.

The ‘Reimagining Doon Heritage Village Project’ has launched with the option to interact through an online survey or at in-person sessions on the weekend of April 27.

The village first opened as a museum in 1957, acting as a window into the past where people could experience what it was like to live in the region in 1914.
