Rangers handed third straight loss, look ahead to final regular season game
The Kitchener Rangers dropped their third-straight game last night in heart-wrenching fashion: an overtime loss in their last game at home this regular season.
The visiting Oshawa Generals broke Blueshirt hearts with a 2-1 win in overtime at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.
Rangers Head Coach Jussi Ahokas was disappointed in his team’s performance on the ice in the opening frames of the contest.

“The first two periods we played like peewee hockey,” said Ahokas. “We were playing just to get by. That’s not what we wanted. I wasn’t pleased at all.”
In spite of the loss, Rangers netminder Jackson Parsons put in a good performance between the pipes, stopping 34 of 36 shots.
The Rangers close out their regular season on Saturday away from home against the Erie Otters.
The game can be heard live on CityNews570, with the pre-game kicking off at 6:30 p.m.
