Carjacking suspects flee after crashing stolen car in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a carjacking in Kitchener.

It happened on Friday at 10 p.m. when police found a Mercedes that had crashed in the area of Montcalm Drive and Lorraine Avenue.

The car was stolen from a 21-year-old Toronto man who was sitting in the car when two unknown men approached him.

The men assaulted the 21-year-old and stole the car. They then crashed the car and fled on foot.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
