Winter weather travel advisory ends

A winter weather travel advisory has now ended for Waterloo Region.
The weather alert was put in effect as there was the potential for 5 to 10 cm of snow on Thursday.
Waterloo Region hasn’t had 7 cm of snow since Jan. 23.
The snow developed Thursday afternoon and significantly impacted roadways.
Waterloo Regional Police received 21 collision reports between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Three of the crashes were hit and runs, five involved injuries, and 13 led to property damage.
The winter weather travel advisory was lifted shortly after 3 p.m.
