Early morning fire closes part of King Street in downtown Preston

First responders were at the scene of an early-morning fire in Preston on Friday that had briefly closed part of King Street East.

There was small fire, but crews told a CityNews 570 reporter that it was extinguished just before 5 a.m.

Police confirmed that two individuals were transported to hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
