Person bit by dog while bringing food to customer

A food delivery person’s nightmare.

Getting attacked while completing an order.

That’s what Waterloo Regional Police say reportedly happened to a person making a food delivery in Kitchener Saturday morning.

Just before 9 a.m. on Saturday, police were called to a business on Fairway Road South to reports of an injured person.

A person was bringing food to a driver that was waiting outside, when a dog reportedly got out of the vehicle and bit the person handing over the food.

The dog’s owner drove off with the dog inside the vehicle. The breed of the dog was not released by police.

The individual who was bit was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police did not release any other details about the victim.

The investigation is ongoing.
