Man arrested for allegedly threatening woman, destroying property

Making threats against a woman and destroying her things has brought about serious charges against a man in Kitchener.

Police say it happened around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night at a residence around St. George Street and Hebel Place, in the Charles and Benton area.

A 49-year old woman was being threatened by a man who was destroying her property.

Officers from the Emergency Response Team responded.

Police say no one was hurt.

A 28-year old man was arrested and charged Uttering threats to cause death; Criminal harassment; Mischief under $5000; and Uttering threats to cause property Damage.

Police have not specified if the accused and the victim know each other.
