Freezing rain warning lifted for Waterloo Region

It was an icy, slick Wednesday for Waterloo Region – after a low pressure system brought freezing rain through the afternoon & evening.

The looming weather system prompted Environment Canada to issue a special weather statement for the region, eventually upgrading the notice to a freezing rain warning.

That system swept through the region through the afternoon hour, bringing slippery conditions to highways, roads and parking lots.
