The K-W Oktoberfest Thanksgiving Day Parade marched through downtown Kitchener on Thanksgiving day.
The parade began at 8:30 a.m., and despite the forecast calling for cold and rainy conditions, those looking to attend still came out to celebrate.
A mix of floats, inflatables, bands travelled through downtown Kitchener led by some familiar faces – or voices. Mike Farwell and Paul Fixter took on the role of grand marshals.

The route began at the corner of Weber Street East and Frederick Street and traveled up Weber finishing at the Bridgeport Plaza.
Money and non-perishable food items were collected for the annual Onkel Hans Food Drive in support of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region prior to the beginning of the parade.
The tail end of the parade is making its way down Weber St now. There has also been sightings of a giant inflatable chicken encouraging people to dance @CityNewsKIT pic.twitter.com/b26ac9pvWl
